Hearing Aids

Hearing aids and devices from a variety of manufacturers are available for purchase at the Hearing & Speech Institute. Unlike many hearing aid sales centers that represent only one line of hearing aids, the Institute carries a wide range of products and brands - from disposable hearing aids to the most complex digital circuitry. Some of the brands we represent are Starkey, GNResound, Siemens, Widex, Phonak and Oticon. Prices vary depending on the model, size and technology/circuitry.

Prior to the purchase of a hearing aid or device, one of our audiologists will work with you to determine the most effective hearing device for your specific needs and hearing environments. A wide range of stypes, products and brands are available on the market today and the audiologist will explain, demonstrate, educate and prescribe the best device for each individual.

Once you have selected a hearing device, the audiologist provides training on operation, care, cleaning and adjusting amplication so you can receive maximum benefit from your device. Hearing aid performance is carefully evaluated and monitored during a 30-60 day trial period and throughout the first year of use. Extended warrenties are available for most instruments.

Cochlear Implants

Assistive Listening Devices

In addition to hearing aids, there are a number of devices on the market such as television and telephone amplifiers, vibrating alarm clocks, doorbell and smoke-alarm-alerting devices to help you improve communication and keep you safe. The Hearing & Speech Institute offers a full catalog of listening devices, educational software, and books through the Hearing Speeech and Deafness Center's Store in Seattle.
